The Band is in town.

The ClubPenguin Band is in town, stationed near the island on the long lost iceberg.

"I've only seen them play once," says a young penguin, while throwing snowballs at the rock the iceberg sign, "They are hard to catch. Just like rockhopper."

Just a few minutes later, after the band finished playing the penguin jig. They moved on to one of my personal favorites, and a very clever song to play while entertaining a crowd on the iceburg. They played, iceberg rock.

Also, we stopped by the small snowcone place by the edge of the iceburg. He was open for an interview, after giving our team a few free snowcones.

"Do you get to hear them often?"
"Actually no," he laughs, "I only open up when there is a festival or carnival- so I dont get to see this one act often."
"Oh, what other CP events do you work at?"
"I sell icecream at the carnival, near the dock I opened last, I might be wrong though- I go to a ton of events."
"Thank you for answering our questions," we chorused- we couldnt stay long. Though we are heading out to see more of the party!

Pink Puffle Party!

I was just arriving at the Lighthouse with my camra crew when we spotted a band forming on the stage. They had signs hanging over the place, rather people acting as signs.

They called themselves the "puffle party" band.
They invited a few of us on stage with them- - I was thrilled!

"We've been all over town," said the guitar player, "we kept talking to people all over and asking them to be in our band."
"Cool," I said, "can you play us something?"

Suddenly a penguin in blue came up to the microphone.

"1, 2, 3, 4!" she yelled, before I knew it a few dancers were doing a jig in the background and the guitars were blasting away. The camra crew snapped a few great pictures and their being published as I type.

I enjoyed their performance so much- they even gave me and the crew free 'tickets' to their next performance. (postcards)

Tropical Tune

Our team set off to the cove today- we saw five or so penguins dressed in grass skirts dancing away in the water. Along side them was a lifeguard, he was taking out his whistle- I though he was training one of the new recruits I had spotted walking in. Though, I was wrong.

As soon as the whistle sounded, a bunch of lifeguards came out of their posts and grabbed a set of headphones from the bin resting near the surfing shack.

Soon after this they climbed on stage and started dancing.

Before they parted, I asked one of the tour guides near if he had seen any strange dancing around the area as well.

"Yep I've seen quite a lot, near the town- the icerink. Also I love the forest... old fashion is my thing," he laughed.

Join the Recycling Team!

I saw a few penguins around town shouting about something at the Mine. They said that there was a new place where everyone could recycle their old items.

As my team and I arrived at the Mine Grounds, I noticed a building to the side with a large recycling sign inplanted on its doors.

There were multiple workers working about, and I couldnt wait to see what activities they did around the Recycling Center. I found one of the various penguins shouting about- calling breaks every ten minutes or so.

I was surprised how much I didnt know about this place, much more then 20 workers, and 1 boss to deal with it all!

Jet Pack Defective!
June 18th

Today, a penguin was found on the top of one of the landing pads for the penguins in jetpacks. He was calling for help, because the jetpack seamed to be running out fuel carlessly when he was on the landing pad.

"It was terrible, to see a penguin stranded on top of the building with a defective jetpack running out of fuel," says one of the workers at the Pizza Parlor, who just came out to take a break to see the little penguin stranded on the top of their building.

"I could see the meter on the side of the jetback buzzing, I new it wasnt that the jetpack was running low on fuel but it was also trying to leave the ground without the penguin taking control of it," the worker chattered, "the little guy didnt have anything that would let him have a safe landing. No mask, safety protections.... none."

One of our camra workers was at the scene as it was happening. And took a picture of the stranded penguin.


Minutes later I arrived and a few officers had arrived with a ladder. One of them had climbed up and retrieved the defective jet pack, and handed the distressed penguin a new one.

Soon after he was handed the jetpack he strapped it on.

"Thank you so much," he said embracingly to the officer, and he shot off into the air, weaving a few letters we thought said 'thanks'.

Expedition Gear out of stock

Outside the Gift Shop, crowds are building trying to get in to the store. Everyone's heard about the new expedition gear that was just realeased at the store.

The crew made it inside the store, to find that some of the gear was out of stock - over 10,000 vests had been bought over the past few days, and the shop's owner told us they were getting more shipments in today.

"We cant be sure we'll have enough, but 10,000 is a lot to cover," the owner told us, "we are actually making the gear from stuff at the recycling center. So its penguin friendly."

The mob of penguins trying to get in soon diminished as they were told everything was out of stock. Once the crowds cleared, the shop keeper came out of the shop.

"That was some mess, good thing bluffing about it being out of stocked help clear things up. Come on in everyone!" called the shop keeper, soon mobs of penguins built up again and in a few hours - I bet they actualy will run out of stock.
