What's up guys?! I figured some of you may want to know how to get your signature looking like mine with the Facebook status block.

Facebook gives their members the option to create "Profile Badges" for their websites and blogs. The badges can be customized to your liking to include just about everything you can readily put on your public profile at facebook.com. To get started, go to your public Facebook profile and find the link at the bottom left that says "Create a Profile Badge", or just click here.

Customize the badge to your liking, but keep in mind that this is going in your signature, so we'll have to ask you to set your badge to the "Horizontal" display option. Next, save the badge and then click +Other. Copy and paste the code into your signature by going to Profile > Signature at CPH. Note, however, that you will have to edit to the code and chop it down to a size that the signature will accept. You have a 1,000 character limit on signatures, including any code characters. The biggest part of the signature is for two links that appear at the top of the badge. You can remove the links to drastically cut down the amount of code required for the badge.

Find this code in your signature:

Code:
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/people/Paul-James/100000823652096" target="_TOP" style="font-family: "lucida grande",tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-variant: normal; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; color: #3B5998; text-decoration: none;" title="Paul James">Paul James</a><span style="font-family: "lucida grande",tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 16px; font-variant: normal; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; color: #555555; text-decoration: none;"> | </span><a href="http://www.facebook.com/badges/" target="_TOP" style="font-family: "lucida grande",tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-variant: normal; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; color: #3B5998; text-decoration: none;" title="Make your own badge!">Create Your Badge</a><br/>

Ignore the "Paul James" (that was copied from my code). All of that should immediately follow the start of the code, and end with the < br/ > tag. Highlight that code and delete it.

As an example, my final code looks like this:

Code:
<!-- Facebook Badge START --><a href="http://www.facebook.com/people/Paul-James/100000823652096" target="_TOP" title="Paul James"><img src="http://badge.facebook.com/badge/100000823652096.26.1978273619.png" width="468" height="84" style="border: 0px;" /></a><!-- Facebook Badge END -->

And that's all there is to it! Save your signature and view it in your posts to make sure it works. If you're having difficulties, let me know! Tour guide hat
